Who We Are

Our Lady of the Valley Catholic is a rural multipurpose community center established to minister to the needs of the poor in Horse Creek Valley, in Aiken County, South Carolina.

The Center is a Catholic diocesan ministry currently facilitated by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul.

The center serves all the community regardless of race or creed.

Our Mission is to identify and respond to the unmet needs of the community in the Horse Creek Valley Area of Aiken County, South Carolina in the name of Jesus Christ.

What We Do


Programs & Services
Emergency Assistance – Caseworkers assists client with utility bills prior to cut off and emergency prescription assistance
Food Pantry - provides emergency food and miscellaneous household items
Senior Brown Bag Program - Provides senior in the community with a food commodities every 3rd Saturday of the month
OLVCC GED Program - Program prepares Adult Learners in Reading, Language Arts/Essay Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday year round.
Computer class - Classes facilitated by Sr. Dorothy to teach individuals of all ages basic computer skills.
The Benefit Bank of SC - assist individuals and families in completing several different application, for several different agencies all at one time and all at one interview
Partnerships & Collobrations
Aiken Senior Life Services (formerly known as  Aiken Council on Aging)- Offers a daily meal along with social, recreational, and educational activities for seniors (persons 60 years or older) at OLVCC Monday-Friday.
RSVP - Retired Senior Volunteer Program it is a national service program through the Corporation of National and Community Service and supports individual’s age 55 and better with volunteer service opportunities in their communities. RSVP is locally sponsored by Megiddo Dream Station, a local non-profit in Graniteville, SC.
AA-Alcoholic Anonymous OLVCC provides meeting space two evenings per week and the second Saturday of the month for a Speaker Meeting.
Voting Site - OLVCC is a polling place for all elections facilitated through the South Carolina Election commission
